Job Description:Veritas Education is seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant (SEN TA) to join a supportive and inclusive primary school in Tower Hamlets. This long-term role is available from September 2025 or after the October half-term, with the potential for the right candidate to become a valued member of the school's support team.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with a genuine passion for supporting pupils with Special Educational Needs, such as autism (ASD), ADHD, or speech and language difficulties.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Experience working with children with SEN, ideally in a primary school setting
  • A patient, nurturing, and resilient nature
  • Ability to build strong relationships with pupils, staff, and parents
  • A good understanding of strategies to support learning, behaviour, and emotional development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Providing one-to-one or small group support for pupils with SEN
  • Assisting pupils with daily learning activities and routines
  • Working closely with the class teacher and SENCO to implement EHCP targets
  • Supporting children with communication and social skills
  • Creating a safe, inclusive, and engaging environment for all learners
