Job Description:Veritas Education is working closely with a warm and inclusive primary school in Redbridge that is currently seeking a SEN Teaching Assistant to support pupils with additional needs. This full-time position is available from September 2025, or after the October half-term, and is ideal for someone who is passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).

You will be working either 1:1 or in small groups with pupils who require extra support, particularly those with autism (ASD), speech and language difficulties, or ADHD.

The Ideal Candidate Will Have:

  • A Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience supporting children with SEN in a primary school setting
  • A patient, calm, and positive approach to behaviour and learning support
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A genuine passion for inclusive education and child development

Key Responsibilities:

  • Supporting pupils with SEN to access the curriculum
  • Implementing strategies as advised by the SENCO and class teacher
  • Providing personalised support to help children reach their EHCP targets
  • Encouraging independence, confidence, and social skills
  • Maintaining clear records and feedback for progress monitoring
