A lovely 2 form entry primary school in Denmark Hill are looking for a Learning Support Assistant to work with a child on a 1 to 1 basis starting 1st September.

The Role

In this role you will be supporting two children with diagnosed Special Educational Needs in Year 1 and 2. The children have autism and SEMH and need support within the classroom and particularly when processing instructions and in communications with peers. The children can struggle with regulating emotions and you will be required to support the children outside the classroom at times. Ideally you will have ELSA training and/or be familiar with LEGO Therapy, however the school are open to applications from experienced learning support assistants, psychology graduates or those who have a good understanding of how to support children with autism. 

This role is offered on a full-time contract basis for the rest of the academic year.
