A lovely, community Primary School in Waltham Forest is looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant to support a child with autism on a 1 to 1 basis.
The Role
In this role you will be supporting a child in year 5 on a 1 to 1 basis throughout all lessons and activities. The child has diagnosed autism and requires support with processing, understand instructions and completing tasks. As well as support in the classroom you will also help the pupil during social activities with peers and during some breaks. You will work closely with the class teacher and SENCO to provide regular reports and progress updates and you will be involved in assessment meetings.
This role is offered on a full-time contract basis for the academic year.
