A brilliant opportunity has become available to join a lovely primary school in Wandsworth as a SEN Teaching Assistant in KS1 starting ASAP.

The Role

In this role, you will be working 1:1 with a child in Year 1 with Autism and associated behavioural difficulties. The child often learns outside of the classroom and requires a high level of support with behaviour and learning. He follows a personalised curriculum and his behaviour can become challenging when dysregulated, .  

The school are looking for an experienced Teaching Assistant who has supported children with a range of SEND, is reliable and committed in order to give the child consistency. Initiative and the ability to use a range of strategies to engage children, offer clear expectations and a positive approach are also essential.

This role is to start ASAP and is offered on a full-time contract until the end of the academic year (to July 2026).

The School

This community-focused primary school opened in 2020 and offers a bilingual education, combining the National Curriculum with Portuguese language instruction provided by specialists. The school is growing steadily, currently catering to pupils from Reception to Year 5. In addition to core subjects, the school offers Forest School, swimming, and music lessons with specialist teachers, fostering a rich and diverse learning experience. The school is easily accessible by public transport.
