SEN Teaching Assistant

Reeson Education are looking for a skilled SEN Teaching Assistant to join a successful Hackney primary school from September 2025, working on a 1:1 basis with a Year 1 pupil.

Location: Hackney
Start Date: September 2025
End Date: July 2026
Daily Rate: 82.14 - 100

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a Year 1 pupil with additional needs

• Assist with learning, emotional wellbeing, and engagement in class

• Adapt lessons and resources to meet the child's specific requirements

• Work in close partnership with the SENCO and class teacher to deliver targeted strategies

• Full-time, long-term role running through to the end of the academic year

• Ofsted Outstanding Hackney primary with strong, supportive leadership

• Inclusive ethos that places pupils at the centre of learning

• Welcoming staff team with a collaborative, positive approach

• Clear commitment to staff development, including CPD for all support staff

• Excellent facilities and resources to aid teaching and learning

• Prior experience as an SEN Teaching Assistant, TA, or in a similar role

• Confidence in managing challenging behaviours calmly and effectively

• Patient, empathetic, and passionate about SEN support

• Strong communication and literacy skills

• Enhanced DBS required (or willingness to apply)
