In this role, you'll play a vital part in supporting pupils within the school's SEN provision, helping each child to develop academically, socially, and emotionally, within the borough of Barking and Dagenham.

Responsibilities

  • Provide tailored support to SEN pupils across KS1 and KS2 within the school's dedicated provision in Barking and Dagenham

  • Deliver one-to-one and small group support, adapting to a range of individual learning needs

  • Reinforce classroom learning and help pupils achieve their personal and academic goals

  • Use positive behaviour strategies to manage and de-escalate challenging situations

  • Collaborate with teachers, SENCOs and external specialists to deliver cohesive, high-quality support

  • Assist with personal care where required (e.g. feeding, toileting, or mobility assistance)
