The Role

We are seeking dedicated SEN Teaching Assistants to support students with a range of additional needs, including autism, ADHD, SEMH, dyslexia, and general learning difficulties. You will work under the guidance of the SENCO and teaching staff to help students access learning, build confidence, and make meaningful progress.

You will:

  • Support learning across KS3-KS4 (and some KS5 where needed)
  • Provide 1:1 and small-group support tailored to individual learning plans
  • Assist with EHCP implementation and progress monitoring
  • Help maintain a calm, inclusive classroom environment
  • Build positive relationships with students, staff, and families
  • Support emotional regulation and behaviour where appropriate
  • Engage in school-wide training, meetings, and pastoral initiatives

Role Requirements

  • Experience supporting children or young people with SEND (school experience preferred)
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • A patient, compassionate, and consistent approach
  • Willingness to follow teacher and SENCO guidance
  • A genuine interest in supporting students with additional needs
  • TA qualifications or SEND training (beneficial but not essential)
