About the Role:
This SEN Teaching Assistant Apprentice role is based in a SEN school based in East London, known for its strong commitment to inclusion and support for pupils with special educational needs. They are seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and compassionate apprentice to start in May 2025. In this role, you will provide vital, personalised support to pupils who require additional assistance to access the curriculum and achieve their full potential.
Your responsibilities will include:
? Supporting pupils with SEND needs on a one-to-one basis or within small groups
? Assisting teachers in the planning and delivery of differentiated lessons
? Helping pupils with their educational, emotional, and behavioural development
? Preparing specialist classroom resources
? Monitoring pupil progress and providing feedback to staff and parents
Training and Workshops:
As part of your apprenticeship, you will complete specialist workshops designed to develop your expertise in SEND support, including:
? The SEND landscape in the UK
? Safeguarding in SEND
? Adaptive Curriculum Design
? Innovative Assessments for SEND pupils
? SEND Milestones and Strategies to Support Pupils
? Understanding Autism, ADHD, and Dyslexia
? Responding to Trauma and Adverse Childhood Experiences (ACEs)
? Supporting pupils with Speech, Language, and Communication Needs (SLCN)

The Ideal Candidate:
