SEN Teaching Assistant responsibilities include:
Providing 1:1 support to a pupil with an EHCP, focusing on social, emotional, and academic development
Assisting the class teacher in creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
Implementing behaviour plans and using tailored strategies to meet individual needs
Supporting with learning tasks, sensory activities, and routine transitions
Liaising with parents and outside professionals as directed by the SENCO
Ideal SEN Teaching Assistant candidates will have:
Experience working with children with SEND, including ASD, ADHD or speech & language needs
A calm, patient, and proactive approach to support
Excellent communication and teamworking skills
A valid DBS on the Update Service or willingness to apply
