About the Role:

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate SEN Teaching Assistant to join the team at a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Haringey. This role is based within the school’s Additional Resource Provision (ARP), supporting pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism spectrum condition (ASC), speech and language difficulties, and complex learning needs.

The successful candidate will work closely with class teachers and the SENCo to provide personalised support to pupils, helping them access learning and achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils with EHCPs

  • Assist with the implementation of individual learning plans (ILPs)

  • Promote positive behaviour and emotional well-being

  • Support pupils with personal care and sensory needs when required

  • Liaise effectively with teachers, therapists, and parents

  • Contribute to the inclusive ethos of the school and ARP

Requirements:
  • Experience working with children with special educational needs (SEN), ideally in a school or ARP setting

  • A calm, patient, and empathetic approach

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multidisciplinary team

  • A good standard of written and spoken English

  • Relevant qualifications (e.g. CACHE Level 2/3, or equivalent) are desirable but not essential
