Are you an experienced, resilient SEN TA looking for a full-time role?

A well-run, welcoming primary school in Tower Hamlets are looking to recruit an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to support a year 3 child on a 1 to 1 basis for the rest of the academic year. The pupil has profound autism and is non-verbal. She is unable to access learning in the mainstream classroom and the school have created a specialist environment for her.

Whilst predominately calm and settled, the pupil does have moments of distress and can at times be violent. The school have managed this for a number of years and have systems in place should these moments occur.  

The pupil needs a committed and kind SEN Teaching Assistant to provide daily care. You will work alongside teaching staff, the SEN team, external support agencies to ensure she is safe and supported appropriately.

Experience working with young children with Autism
