This Primary School is a vibrant and inclusive learning community committed to providing a nurturing and stimulating environment for all students. They are currently seeking a dedicated Special Educational Needs (SEN) Specialist Teaching Assistant to join their passionate team on a part-time basis.
Role Overview:
As a Part-Time SEN Specialist Teaching Assistant, you will play a crucial role in supporting the inclusion and development of students with special educational needs. Working closely with our experienced teaching staff, you will contribute to creating a positive and supportive learning environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide one-to-one or small group support to students with special educational needs, ensuring their individual learning needs are met.
- Collaborate with class teachers to implement and adapt lesson plans to accommodate the diverse needs of students.
- Foster a positive and inclusive learning environment, promoting the social and emotional development of students.
- Monitor and record the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents as required.
- Assist in the implementation of Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and support strategies outlined by the SENCo.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Relevant qualifications in Special Education or related field.
- Previous experience working with children with special educational needs.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
- Understanding of safeguarding and child protection policies.
