We are seeking a dedicated Learning Support Assistant to join a vibrant secondary school in Tower Hamlets. This role is ideal for someone with prior experience as a Learning Support Assistant, who is passionate about supporting students and enhancing their educational experience.
Day-to-day of the role:- Provide tailored support to students with diverse educational needs within a classroom setting.
- Work closely with teachers to implement individual education plans (IEPs) and ensure students receive the support they need.
- Assist in the development of learning materials that cater to the specific needs of students.
- Monitor and track the progress of students, providing feedback to teachers and parents.
- Facilitate small group sessions and one-to-one support to help students understand the curriculum.
- Encourage and assist students with their independence and self-esteem in learning activities.
- Maintain a safe and positive learning environment for all students.
- Proven experience as a Learning Support Assistant.
- Strong understanding of the needs of secondary school students.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Patience, empathy, and a positive, encouraging attitude towards education.
- Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one).
