Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant

A modern, inclusive Primary School located in the Borough of Lewisham is looking for an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant to join their staff team. This is a full-time, long-term role, starting ASAP.

As an Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant, you will be working alongside children with a range of SEN, including Autism/ ASD, ADHD, children with SEMH needs and behavioural difficulties. You will work closely with the Class Teacher, SENCo, and other specialists who will offer their expert advice and guidance along the way. Person Specification - Unqualified SEN Teaching Assistant

  • Must have a good degree from a reputable University
  • Good understanding of SEN is required
  • Experience in a previous role, or personal experience with SEN would be ideal
  • Passionate about supporting children with SEN
  • You must be able to work effectively as part of a team
  • Calm and compassionate nature
