ASEND are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Dyslexia Specialist Teacher to join the team for 1 day a week at an Independent Academy for students aged 3-18 in Stratford. The role will start in September.

In this role, you will work with pupils either on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Your expertise and understanding of Dyslexia will be invaluable as you empower students to overcome their challenges and reach their full potential.

As a Dyslexia Specialist Teacher, you will have the opportunity to make a real difference in the lives of the students and your focus will be on interventions. Your dedication and commitment will inspire confidence and provide the necessary support to help them thrive academically and personally.

Requirements:

To be successful in this role, you should possess a strong understanding of Dyslexia. You should also have experience working with students with Dyslexia, ideally in a school setting.

The right candidate will also have a Level 7 SpLD Qualification, though an experienced and skilled Dyslexia teacher with a Level 5 qualification would also be considered. You will need to be able to plan and work independently whilst also enjoying collaborative work with colleagues. You will also be an excellent communicator and have a passion for improving outcomes for students with Dyslexia and other literacy difficulties.
