Are you a passionate SEN Teacher with experience supporting children with Autism and complex learning needs?

We're working with a Good Ofsted-rated specialist school that provides an exceptional learning environment for children with additional needs. They are seeking a committed educator to join their team on an interim basis, with the possibility of a permanent position for the right candidate.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons tailored to pupils with Autism and other Special Educational Needs (SEN).
  • Create and maintain an inclusive, positive classroom environment that supports individual learning and emotional wellbeing.
  • Develop and adapt lesson plans to meet EHCP targets and individual education plans (IEPs).
  • Collaborate with teaching assistants, therapists, and support staff to ensure holistic pupil development.
  • Monitor, assess, and record pupil progress, providing feedback and support to both students and parents.
  • Manage classroom behaviour effectively, promoting independence and confidence in each learner.

Requirements:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification.
  • Experience teaching or supporting pupils with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) and other SEN needs (Primary or Secondary background considered).
  • Strong classroom management skills and a nurturing, adaptable teaching approach.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
