Empower every learner to thrive - join a forward-thinking SEN team in Camden.Hays Education is working in partnership with a progressive and inclusive primary school in Camden to appoint a passionate SEN Primary Teacher for a Key Stage 2 class. The Role:
You will take the lead in a small, well-supported KS2 class for pupils with a range of special educational needs, including autism, speech and language difficulties, and social, emotional, and mental health (SEMH) needs. The school offers a therapeutic approach to learning, with strong links to external specialists and a commitment to holistic development.
Responsibilities:
- Planning and delivering engaging, accessible lessons tailored to individual needs
- Creating a calm, structured, and nurturing classroom environment
- Collaborating with a multidisciplinary team including therapists and support staff
- Tracking progress and adapting strategies to ensure every child achieves their potential
- Building strong relationships with families and carers to support learning beyond the classroom
What We're Looking For:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
- Experience working with SEN pupils, particularly in Key Stage 2
- A creative and flexible teaching style
- Strong behaviour management and communication skills
- A commitment to inclusive education and continuous professional development
