We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated part-time Modern Foreign Languages (MFL) teacher to join our team at an independent SEMH school in Totteridge and Whetstone. The Role:

We are looking for an MFL teacher to deliver engaging lessons in MFL to our students. You will play a key role in providing a creative and supportive learning experience, tailoring lessons to meet the diverse needs of our students. As a part-time teacher, you will work closely with our dedicated staff team to ensure the success and well-being of each pupil.



Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, prepare, and deliver high-quality MFL lessons to a small group of students.

  • Differentiate learning to meet the individual needs of students, including those with SEMH and additional learning challenges.

  • Foster a positive, supportive, and inclusive classroom environment.

  • Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback and guidance to help them achieve their full potential.

  • Collaborate with colleagues to develop resources and support the wider school community.

  • Promote students' personal and social development, encouraging engagement in their learning and building confidence.



Essential Criteria:

  • Qualified teacher status (QTS) or equivalent.

  • Experience teaching MFL at Key Stage 3 and 4.

  • Understanding of SEMH needs and how to tailor learning experiences for students with emotional and behavioral challenges.

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with students and staff.

  • A patient, empathetic, and adaptable approach to teaching.

  • A commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
