Role: SEN TeacherLocation: WandsworthPay rate: MPS / UPSStart date: 3rd September 2025Horizon teachers are seeking a passionate SEN Teacher to join their ASD Base that caters up to 21 pupils with a diagnosis of Autism from Reception to Year 6, with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP)About the school:
  • The ASD Base are supported by a group of support staff in each class, all of whom have received training in the understanding the needs of children with autism and social communication differences.
  • Staff work closely with our Occupational Therapist and speech and language therapist to provide regular 1:1 and group support, share and model strategies and resources with staff and provide regular training.
Job description:
  • Monitor, evaluate, review pupil's progress, achievement and attainment regularly and to ensure appropriate action plans are in place where issues are identified.
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of students
  • Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum and schemes of work
