The ASD Base are supported by a group of support staff in each class, all of whom have received training in the understanding the needs of children with autism and social communication differences.
Staff work closely with our Occupational Therapist and speech and language therapist to provide regular 1:1 and group support, share and model strategies and resources with staff and provide regular training.

Job description:

Monitor, evaluate, review pupil's progress, achievement and attainment regularly and to ensure appropriate action plans are in place where issues are identified.
Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of students
Plan and teach well-structured lessons to assigned classes, following the school's plans, curriculum and schemes of work
