We're working on behalf of welcoming and inclusive SEN schools across South East London who are looking for skilled and compassionate SEN Teachers to join their team. This is a fantastic opportunity to make a lasting impact on pupils with additional needs, including ASD, ADHD, SEMH, MLD, and complex needs.

The Role:

  • Deliver engaging and differentiated lessons to pupils with a range of special educational needs
  • Work closely with support staff, parents/carers, and external professionals to ensure holistic support for each learner
  • Create a positive, structured, and inclusive classroom environment
  • Monitor pupil progress and adapt teaching strategies accordingly
  • Support pupils' emotional and behavioural development

What We're Looking For:

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent
  • Proven experience teaching students with SEN (either in mainstream or specialist settings)
  • Strong behaviour management skills and a nurturing approach
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
  • A proactive and reflective teaching style

Desirable:

  • Team Teach or other de-escalation training
  • Experience with PECS, Makaton, or other communication systems
  • Knowledge of EHCPs and safeguarding procedures
