Academics are currently working with a large, successful Primary school in Tower Hamlets that has received extra funding to support their SEN students with a full-time SEN Teacher. This new post will involve leading interventions for groups of children across the school with ASD. The school has a high percentage of children with additional needs, and this role will support children, teachers, parents, and carers to ensure pupils with additional needs receive a tailored and enriched curriculum.

The successful SEN Teacher will have, Tower Hamlets:

  • Excellent working knowledge of the Primary curriculum

  • Hands-on experience working with children with ASD

  • A SEN specialism or additional training (advantageous but not essential)

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

Inside the school, you will find a well-resourced classroom and a friendly, hardworking team dedicated to providing the best Primary school experience. You will be mentored by an experienced SENCO and supported by visiting therapists.
