An inclusive and welcoming primary school in South West London is seeking an experienced and passionate SEN Teacher to lead teaching in their Autism Resource Base.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a dedicated educator to join a collaborative and supportive team in a specialist provision catering for children with Autism, SEMH, and anxiety-related needs. The role offers a permanent contract with additional responsibility (TLR2.1) from September 2025.

About the Role:

In this SEN Teacher role, you will take the lead in a Key Stage 2 class within a purpose-built Resource Base, designed to support pupils with Autism and associated needs. Situated within the wider primary school grounds, this specialist provision caters for up to 16 pupils with Autism, SEMH, and anxiety, taught across two well-resourced classes spanning Reception to Year 6. You will be responsible for delivering a sensory-based curriculum tailored to the diverse communication styles and learning needs of pupils in the KS2 class, with a strong emphasis on nurturing, inclusive, and developmental learning experiences.

The role offers the opportunity to work closely with a skilled team of specialist teaching assistants, therapists, and a supportive senior leadership team. In addition, you will collaborate with external agencies to further enrich both pupil progress and your own professional development.

The school are looking for an SEN Teacher who:

  • Has Qualified Teacher status with experience or a passion to move in to teaching students with SEN/SEMH
  • Demonstrates a deep understanding of Autism and SEMH.
  • Has high expectations for all learners and a strong belief in inclusive education.
  • Brings compassion, resilience, and outstanding relationship-building skills.
  • Is committed to continuous professional growth and positive outcomes for pupils.
