Tradewind Recruitment is currently working with a warm, welcoming specialist SEN school in Hillingdon that is looking to appoint a committed and passionate SEN Teacher to join their team from September.

This well-resourced school caters to pupils with a range of special educational needs including Autism (ASD), moderate to severe learning difficulties (MLD/SLD), and speech and language needs. They are proud of their supportive leadership team and collaborative approach to teaching, where every child is encouraged to progress at their own pace in a nurturing environment.

About the Role:

  • Teaching a small class of pupils with EHCPs (Education, Health and Care Plans)

  • Delivering a highly differentiated curriculum focused on individual progress

  • Working closely with a team of experienced support staff, therapists and SEN professionals

  • Using creative, multi-sensory approaches to engage and motivate pupils

  • Monitoring and recording progress in line with each student's learning goals and developmental targets

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a qualified teacher (QTS, QTLS or equivalent) with experience in special education

  • Have a clear understanding of SEND teaching strategies and behaviour support techniques

  • Be confident planning lessons that are accessible, engaging and tailored to meet individual needs

  • Be calm, adaptable and passionate about helping young people overcome barriers to learning

  • Have an enhanced DBS on the update service (or be willing to apply)
