A Nursing Associate with a valid NMC pin and an NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) is required to work for a private outpatient eye clinic on Harley Street for a 6-month or 1-year contract. The Nursing Associate will work alongside the nurses, support them in theatre and meds appointments with patients, and be trained as an Ophthalmic Technician. This role is ideal for a compassionate and well-organised individual with previous healthcare experience, keen to expand their skills across surgical support and diagnostic testing.

Nursing Associate starting salary is ÂŁ28,000

Clinical Support (Nursing Associate Duties)• Act as a runner in the Operating Room, assisting with stock preparation, patient transfers, and theatre logistics (non-scrub role)• Support nurses with administrative duties, including patient notes, ordering, and maintaining clinical supplies• Prepare and chaperone patients for laser refractive and intraocular surgeries • Assist with post-operative checks and follow-up care appointments• Administer pre-approved eye drops and medication under supervision and in line with local protocols• Provide information to patients regarding post-op instructions (following approved scripts/checklists)

Diagnostic Support (Ophthalmic Technician Duties)• Perform diagnostic tests such as OCT, visual fields, topography, tonometry, and fundus photography (full training provided)• Ensure accurate data entry and imaging capture for clinician review

Nursing Associate Experience Required• Minimum 1 year of experience in a healthcare assistant or clinical support role• NVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or equivalent) preferred• Previous experience in a hospital or clinic setting is needed
