Our client is a charity based in East London, dedicated to supporting children and families facing life-limiting health conditions. They offer a variety of services, including clinical care, short breaks, and bereavement support, all aimed at helping families lead as fulfilling a life as possible.
The Senior Paediatric Palliative Care Nurse will:
- Lead a small team of nurses and HCAs, managing shifts and providing leadership.
- Deliver one-to-one care and develop play and recreational activities for children.
- Act as a key worker for a small caseload of service users.
- Serve as a link role for areas such as Infection Control or Clinical Audits.
- Work rotational shifts, including weekdays, weeknights, weekends, and bank holidays.
Package and Benefits:
The Senior Paediatric Palliative Care Nurse will receive:
- Annual salary of 41,000 - 46,000.
- 27 days of holiday, increasing to 29 days after five years.
- Pension scheme with 7% employer and 3% employee contributions.

The ideal Senior Paediatric Palliative Care Nurse will have:
- RNC or RNA/RNLD qualification with paediatric experience.
- Experience managing junior nurses and leading shifts.
- Empathy, resilience, and the ability to communicate sensitively.
- A mentorship qualification and experience with children with challenging behaviour.
