About the Role
Long Term Futures are working with an inclusive primary school in Camden seeking a Speech and Language Teaching Assistant to support pupils across Early Years, Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2 with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD).
The pupils you'll support have limited vocabulary or are non-verbal, and your role will focus on improving communication, social interaction, and engagement through structured speech and language interventions. Working under the guidance of the school's Speech and Language Therapist (SPLT) and SENCO, you'll deliver tailored strategies such as PECS, Makaton, and visual communication tools.
This is a full-time, long-term role starting ASAP or January 2026, ideal for someone who is patient, creative, and passionate about helping children communicate and thrive.

Candidate Requirements
Degree in Psychology, Speech and Language, Education, or a related field
Or experience/training with SPLT or communication-based interventions
Experience supporting pupils with ASD or communication difficulties
Knowledge of PECS, Makaton, or visual strategies beneficial
Calm, empathetic, and able to adapt to pupil needs
