Job Description

We are seeking experienced Band 6 and Band 7 Paediatric Speech and Language Therapists (SALT) to join the team at Croydon Healthcare Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for assessing and treating children with speech, language, and communication difficulties, across various clinical settings.

Responsibilities:

  • Assess and diagnose paediatric speech, language, and communication disorders.

  • Plan and implement therapeutic interventions for children of various ages.

  • Work as part of an MDT to provide a holistic and integrated service.

  • Communicate effectively with children, parents, and multidisciplinary team members.

  • Support and guide parents and caregivers in strategies for language development and communication.

  • Maintain accurate and timely records in accordance with Trust policies.

  • Participate in team meetings and case discussions.

Requirements:

  • HCPC registration as a Speech and Language Therapist.

  • Proven experience in paediatrics, ideally within a hospital or community setting.

  • Experience working with children with speech, language, and communication disorders.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Knowledge of the latest speech and language therapy practices.
