Small Works Installation Engineer - Fire Systems
Location: Various Sites
Salary: 30,000 - 40,000 (Dependent on Experience)
We are currently recruiting on behalf of our client, a well-established fire and security solutions provider, who is seeking a Small Works Installation Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced and motivated engineer to play a key role in delivering high-quality fire safety solutions across a diverse range of sites.
About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of fire alarm systems as part of small works and system upgrades. The role involves working closely with clients, ensuring that all works are carried out to industry standards and completed with a high level of professionalism and compliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Install and commission fire alarm systems and upgrades in line with project requirements
Conduct routine maintenance and fault-finding on fire detection systems
Liaise with clients to assess needs and deliver effective solutions
Ensure full compliance with BS 5839 and relevant health and safety legislation
Accurately complete all necessary documentation and service reports
Candidate Requirements:
Proven experience in the installation and commissioning of fire alarm systems
Strong understanding of both conventional and addressable fire alarm technologies
Relevant qualifications in electrical or fire system engineering (FIA units or equivalent preferred)
Excellent fault-finding and communication skills
Full UK driving licence
