HEAD OF PROCUREMENTLONDONPERMANENT ROLERole Overview:Morgan Philips Specialist Recruitment is presently representing a globally renowned health and fitness brand in their search for a Head of Procurement. The successful candidate will be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, negotiating contracts, managing the supplier quality and service levels, optimizing supply chain management and ensuring that all procurement activities align with company goals and budgetary constraints.Key Accountabilities:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure the timely delivery of quality products and services.
  • Evaluate and select suppliers based on quality, price, and service.
  • Monitor supplier performance and implement corrective actions when necessary.
  • Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet the company's needs and objectives.
  • Analyse market trends and supplier offerings to ensure cost-effective purchasing.
  • Forecast future procurement requirements based on business needs and market conditions.
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing, quality and service level agreements with suppliers.
  • Prepare, review, and manage contracts, ensuring compliance with company policies and legal regulations.
  • Ensure that all contracts are signed, executed, and adhered to by both parties.
  • Manage procurement budgets and ensure adherence to financial targets.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities and implement strategies to improve procurement efficiency and reduce expenses.
  • Monitor spending patterns to ensure compliance with budget guidelines.
  • Coordinate with inventory and warehouse teams to ensure timely replenishment of stock.
  • Oversee the logistics process to ensure smooth delivery and storage of goods.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with internal policies, legal requirements, and ethical standards.
  • Provide guidance on procurement processes, policies, and compliance issues.
  • Identify and mitigate procurement risks that could impact business operations.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for auditing and reporting purposes.
  • Manage and mentor a team, providing guidance and support.
  • Ensure effective communication, delegation of tasks, and coordination within the team.
  • Oversee team performance, professional development, and career growth.

About You:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field.
  • Prior experience in the fitness, hospitality and leisure sector would be advantageous.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Experience with supply chain risk management, ESG frameworks, and sustainable sourcing.
  • Proficient in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
  • In-depth knowledge of supply chain processes, market analysis, and inventory management.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
