We are looking for a Labour Manager for a role based both on site & WFH, the rolerequires a candidate with good multi tasking abilities, experience in resouce management, ideal in construction or rail.

must be proficent in microscoft programes, be self motivated and able to manage their time. Have good commnication skills and someone who can work well with bothmanagers and on site operatves.

Weekly tasks as follows;

  • To collaborate with project managers and Head of Operations to understand changing resource requirements.
  • Maintain and update accurate resource tracker.
  • Work with the supply chain to recruit additional resource as and when required.
  • Manage and maintain strong relationships with supply chain.
  • Benchmark rates, experience and qualifications to ensure ongoing quality of resource.
  • Prepare and distribute reports on a frequent basis providing analysis of resource statistics and trends.
  • Manage the onboarding of new resource and maintain resource records on an ongoing basis.
  • Ensure records are kept up to date to comply with audits and legal requirements (training records, occupational health records etc.).
  • Organise and book training when required.
  • Provide data for fatigue management.
  • Provide guidance and support to project teams in resource related matters.

Timesheet management:

  • Ensure all timesheets are submitted and approved on time and accurately.
  • Provide timesheet reports to finance.
  • Assist with any queries.

Sentinel Management:

  • Ensure all trackside employees complete and submit timesheets.
  • Monitor expiries for all PTS employees.
  • Ensure all resource are sponsored prior to attendance on site.

General administration duties:

  • Open and distribute post.
  • Deal with general email and telephone enquiries.
  • Ordering office goods i.e. stationary
  • Manage office meeting room timetable.
  • Booking of accommodation and travel when needed

Health & Safety Responsibilities:

  • You are responsible for ensuring that you and any staff or sub-contractors under your management or control work safely and comply with all current and relevant health and safety and environmental legislation including the Railway Group and Company Standards
  • You are responsible for ensuring that you and your staff and sub-contractors under your management or control assess and control risks and plan and implement safe methods of working and are competent to carry out the task.
  • You are responsible for ensuring the safety of passengers, the general public and the environment is not affected by the activities of you, your staff and contractors under your control.
  • You must ensure that accidents, incidents or near misses to you or staff under your control are reported to your manager, and that the accident book is filled in promptly
  • You must ensure you and any staff under your management participate in the company cascade safety briefings.
