Property Surveyor£49,140North London Permanent Summary Morgan Hunt are working with a leading social housing provider, who are currently looking for a Disrepair Surveyor to join their Property Services team. You will play a vital role in diagnosing and managing minor works, insurance cases, legal disrepair claims, and non-routine repairs. This will also include inspections of void properties, damp and mould issues, and other building faults, always aiming to deliver timely, cost-effective, and resident-focused solutions.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage your own caseload of complex repairs and disrepair issues, including the coordination of ad hoc planned works.
  • Carry out accurate diagnostics of building defects and lead on the resolution of larger maintenance issues.
  • Conduct voids, damp, and mould inspections, post-works evaluations, and ensure completion of any follow-on works.
  • Provide technical support and advice across the Property Team to support continuous improvement and service excellence.
  • Review Home Improvement requests with a focus on safeguarding our property assets.
About you:
  • Proven experience delivering complex property repairs and disrepair claims, including knowledge of Section 11 of the Landlord and Tenant Act.
  • Strong building diagnostic skills and familiarity with Schedule of Rates.
  • Strong social housing background
  • Confident and proficient in using IT systems and applications to manage repairs and reporting.
