Food/Textiles/Product Design Technician required urgently!!

We are urgently seeking a dedicated Food/Textiles/Product Design Technician to join an Ofsted-rated Outstanding secondary school in Waltham Forest. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Food Technology, Textiles, and Product Design (Graphics), and a commitment to supporting high-quality teaching and learning in these subjects.

Role Details:

  • Position: Food/Textiles/Product Design Technician
  • Location: Waltham Forest
  • Start Date: ASAP
  • Contract Type: Long Term (until July 2025 in the first instance)
  • Salary: £110 - £135 per day, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities include:

  • Preparing and maintaining materials, tools, and equipment for practical lessons.
  • Supporting teachers in delivering engaging and safe Food, Textiles, and Product Design lessons.
  • Ensuring health and safety regulations are met in all practical workspaces.
  • Assisting students with practical projects, offering guidance and supervision.
  • Managing stock levels and ordering supplies as needed.
  • Maintaining a well-organized and efficient workshop environment.

Compliance Requirements:

To work in the school, you must meet the following compliance criteria:

  • Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service (mandatory).
  • Professional references covering the past two years.
  • Proof of right to work in the UK.
  • Proof of national insurance.
  • Proof of address (dated within the last three months).
