This is a varied and rewarding role involving direct communication with clients by phone and email, creating tailored itineraries, and coordinating with trusted suppliers. You could be planning a first timer's tour of London, a special interest tour such as a dawn visit to Stonehenge, a private viewing of The Crown Jewels or designing something from scratch - such as an Ancestry tour or a multi-day tour around Britain.

What we’re looking for:

  • A strong interest in British history and heritage
  • Excellent organisational and office skills
  • Clear and professional spoken and written English
  • Good numeracy and attention to detail
  • The ability to work independently as well as part of a team
  • Previous experience in a similar role is an advantage

The position involves working one weekend in every three, for which you’ll receive four days off every three weeks in return.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Responding to customer enquiries
  • Designing bespoke tour itineraries
  • Liaising with our team of professional tour guides
  • Booking and coordinating with suppliers
  • Costing and quoting tours
  • Processing payments
  • Attending a monthly agents’ meeting

Salary: From £28,000, depending on age and experience with potential to increase over time based on performance and progression.

To apply, please send your CV and a covering letter explaining why you feel this role is a good fit for your skills and interests. We find covering letters helpful in understanding your interest in the position and how your experience aligns with what we're looking for.

Application deadline: Friday 7 June 2025.
Early applications are encouraged, as interviews may begin before the deadline.
