Our client, a highly regarded institution within the public sector, is currently seeking an Assistant Transport Planner on a contract basis to strengthen their team in South-West London.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assisting in the development and implementation of transport planning projects

  • Conducting traffic surveys and analysing data to support project feasibility studies

  • Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure project alignment

  • Preparing reports, documentation, and presentations on various transport planning matters

  • Providing input into transport policy development and strategy

  • Supporting the coordination of consultations and public engagement activities

  • Monitoring the progress of projects and ensuring deadlines are met

Job Requirements:

  • Experience in transport planning, ideally within a highways context

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret and present data effectively

  • Proficiency in relevant transport planning software and tools

  • Excellent communication and report writing skills

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team and engage with a variety of stakeholders

  • Understanding of transport policy, regulations, and best practices
