What you'll be doing
In this Principal Transport Planner role, you will:
路Prepare high-quality Transport Notes, Statements and Assessments, Travel Plans and Site Access Appraisals using MS Word and Excel.
路Coordinate and deliver Travel Plan initiatives.
路Undertake junction capacity modelling (ARCADY / PICADY) and traffic signal design (LinSig).
路Lead on the preliminary design of access, junction improvements and highway schemes using AutoCAD.
路Carry out swept-path analysis (AutoTrack) and produce professional-level graphics using GIS or CorelDraw.
路Manage client communication, project delivery, and contribute to fee proposals and framework bids.
路Bring a proactive, solutions-focused mindset to ensure deadlines and client expectations are consistently met.
What you'll bring
To succeed as a Principal Transport Planner, you'll need:
路A degree (or equivalent) in Civil Engineering, Geography or Transport Planning.
路Experience in development-focused transport planning.
路A strong understanding of local and national transport policy and guidance.
路Membership or progression towards CIHT or ICE.
路Excellent communication, analytical and organisational skills, with the drive to deliver high-quality results.
