Principal Transport Planner - Multi-Sector Projects | Hybrid | UK
I'm recruiting for a leading engineering consultancy seeking a Principal Transport Planner to join their growing team. This role offers the chance to lead complex, sustainable transport planning projects across sectors including Defence, Power, Custodial, and Development Planning, while mentoring junior team members and contributing to business growth.
Key Responsibilities:
路Deliver and manage transport planning projects from concept to implementation
路Provide strategic input on assessments, policy, and sustainable travel
路Lead technical reporting (TAs, Travel Plans, CTMPs, EIA inputs)
路Collaborate across disciplines and engage with clients
路Support junior staff and contribute to business development
About You:
路Degree in Transport Planning/Civil Engineering (postgrad preferred)
路Chartered or working towards (CIHT, TPS, ICE)
路Strong technical background and stakeholder management experience
路Knowledge of GIS, CAD, Adobe tools is a bonus
路Familiarity with Active Travel, Bus Priority, LCWIPs, and Urban Design is desirable
