Our client, a prominent authority within the local government sector, is currently seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer for a contract role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and implementing traffic management schemes to improve traffic flow and safety
- Conducting traffic studies and analysis to identify problem areas and propose solutions
- Collaborating with other departments and external stakeholders to achieve project goals
- Managing and coordinating contractors and consultants involved in traffic projects
- Preparing reports, plans, and technical documents for traffic projects and initiatives
- Ensuring compliance with relevant legislation, policies, and guidelines
- Providing expert advice on traffic management issues
- Engaging with the public and addressing any concerns related to traffic schemes
Job Requirements:
- Extensive experience in traffic engineering and management
- Strong knowledge of traffic design principles and relevant software
- Proficiency in conducting traffic analysis and interpreting data
- Understanding of traffic-related legislation, policies, and guidelines
- Excellent report writing and presentation skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail
- Ability to manage projects and work collaboratively within a team
- Relevant engineering degree or equivalent qualification
