Do you have a calm, structured approach and a passion for supporting children through behaviour-focused interventions?

The Role

Long Term Futures is working closely with a warm, community-driven primary school in Camden to appoint a dedicated ABA Tutor. This full-time role supports a Year 2 pupil with ASD, who currently works at a nursery-level developmental stage and follows a structured Applied Behaviour Analysis (ABA) programme.

You'll work under the guidance of an external ABA consultant and the school SENCO to implement strategies that support engagement, communication, and self-regulation. The setting is especially suited to children who benefit from quiet routines and low-stimulation environments, allowing you to build strong, consistent rapport with the pupil over time.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver one-on-one tutoring sessions that follow the pupil's ABA programme
  • Use prompting, reinforcement and visual aids to support progress
  • Implement structured behaviour management techniques in a patient, predictable way
  • Help adapt class-based activities in collaboration with the teacher and therapist
  • Maintain clear data tracking and contribute to regular progress monitoring
  • Support personal care and smooth transitions throughout the school day

What We're Looking For

  • Experience working with children with ASD and/or delivering ABA, PBS or similar interventions
  • A reliable, nurturing presence with a calm approach to dysregulation
  • Confidence using visuals, sensory tools, and early communication strategies
  • Team player with strong communication skills
  • Understanding of lesson planning support and early years learning principles
