In this pivotal role, you will guide a talented frontend team in developing high-performance and scalable applications using cutting-edge technologies like Next.js, React, and TypeScript. You will be instrumental in defining and enforcing coding standards, best practices, and design patterns that ensure the delivery of exceptional quality.
Your expertise will be crucial in architecting and optimizing applications for speed, performance, and SEO, with a focus on leveraging Gatsby for static site generation where appropriate. You will ensure seamless integration of Material UI to create consistent and responsive user interfaces and optimize MJML for impactful and high-performing email templates. Experience with Twig for templating and frontend integration will also be valuable. Furthermore, you'll have the opportunity to implement serverless capabilities using Netlify Functions.
Collaboration is key, and you'll work closely with backend developers, UI/UX designers, and product teams to deliver intuitive and accessible user experiences. Your experience working with systems like YSD to build dynamic and interactive frontend solutions will be highly beneficial. You will also be responsible for implementing and maintaining CI/CD pipelines for seamless frontend development and deployments, conducting thorough code reviews, maintaining comprehensive documentation, and enforcing robust testing strategies.
Leading, mentoring, and guiding a team of frontend engineers will be a significant aspect of this role. You will foster a culture of innovation and collaboration, providing technical mentorship, engaging in pair programming, and offering continuous feedback to elevate the team's skill set. Your ability to drive agile development processes will ensure the timely delivery of features and improvements.
Your commitment to performance optimization and security will be paramount. You will implement best practices for SEO, accessibility, and frontend security, including authentication and authorization handling. You will also monitor and continuously improve frontend performance to ensure optimal load times and an exceptional user experience.
If you possess 10+ years of experience in frontend development, with at least 2 years in a leadership capacity, and have strong proficiency in Next.js, React, TypeScript, and Gatsby, we encourage you to apply. Experience with Material UI, MJML, Twig, and Netlify Functions, along with a solid understanding of state management, modern frontend tooling, GraphQL/REST APIs, and testing frameworks, is essential.
