Overview:
This Business is a fast-growing manufacturer of premium food products – They're seeking an experienced Delivery Driver to deliver their products to their customers.
You’ll deliver to customers all over London in a Transit, from their production and warehouse unit in Park Royal.
This role is ideal for someone with a good understanding of London, and who has experience navigating swiftly around London ensuring the most efficient route.
You'll be making 25- 30 drops typically on a shift.Â
ROLEÂ
Key responsibilities:
Deliver outgoing deliveries • Load van for deliveries • Ensure all orders are despatched in accordance with company standards • Complete all necessary shipment paperwork • Deliver the companies goods to their customers in and around London Delivery administration • Plan an efficient route based on the day’s deliveries, to maximise number of deliveries in a shift • Provide input into how to arrange the most efficient delivery routes and route tags • Maintain vehicle insurance • Van pre and post checks • Maintain a clean van
CANDIDATEÂ
• Full UK driver’s license • Strong knowledge of London geography and ideally delivering into restaurants and contract caterers • Maximum 3 points on the licence • Minimum 3 years of experience in a London driving environment • Ability to work unsupervised and maintain a high level of performance • Effective time management • Good communication skills and willingness to represent the company with our customers • Experience in Health and Safety (preferable) • Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene (preferable) Physical Requirements / Working Conditions • Need to be able to work with gluten • Able to lift heavy (max. 25 kg) ingredients constantly • Ability to load and unload up to 1.2 tonnes in a working shift • Ability to work a flexible schedule as the odd weekend may be required during busiest periods • 40-hour week • Monday to Friday • 6am to 2:30pm
