A highly regarded secondary school in Ealing is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Science Technician - Biology to join their science department on a full-time, long-term basis from September 2025.

The successful candidate will play a key role in supporting the delivery of high-quality biology lessons across Key Stages 3, 4, and 5. Working closely with teachers and other technicians, they will be responsible for preparing practical experiments, maintaining laboratory equipment, and ensuring that all health and safety regulations are met within the department. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biology, with a keen interest in science education and the ability to work in a fast-paced school environment.

Responsibilities as a science technician will include setting up and clearing away practical lessons, managing biological stock and resources, assisting with demonstrations, and providing technical support to teaching staff and students. The candidate should be well-organised, proactive, and able to work both independently and as part of a team.

Experience working in a school laboratory setting is desirable but not essential, as full training can be provided. However, a sound understanding of laboratory procedures and safety practices, along with a science-related qualification (ideally in biology), is required.
