Wine Waiter

Plates, founded by Keeley and Kirk Haworth is an ambitious, plant-led food group with divisions in London and South-West France. With a new London restaurant opening this June and an organic farm and cook school to follow, we have big plans for the future. 

Our multifaceted operation requires an enthusiastic wine waiter/waitress to work in our London restaurant. This is a hybrid role, split between a traditional FOH waiter position and a trainee sommelier role. 

We are looking for someone to come on board to work on the floor to deliver excellent service to our guests.  In addition, they will have the opportunity to work alongside our Sommelier, setting up pairings, pouring wine and generally assisting during service. 

The successful candidate will be a warm, charismatic person with a passion for wine and a great love for food. The team is very small so we need someone who has the ability to think on their feet and who is willing to turn their hand to any task to help the team overall. 

This is a unique opportunity to move across into working with wine, fully supported through our company funded training programme, to gain your WSETs and various other qualifications. We will create every opportunity for you to develop and thrive in your future sommelier career!
