Electrical Maintenance Technician (Rolling stock) South London

Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking for a new challenge? We have a number of Permanent opportunities based in South London working on a shift basis 4 on 4 off a mixture of days and nights.

As Maintenance Technician you will be responsible for servicing, maintenance, repair and overhaul of traction units, components and equipment in accordance with specifications.

You will be involved in;

  • Routine fault finding on vehicles/components to identify faults/solutions
  • You will also undertake electrical and mechanical maintenance of components and systems in accordance with the relevant maintenance schedules
  • Complete environmental examinations against detailed spec
  • Submit maintenance reports as required
  • Attend track calls and carry out repairs where appropriate

What you will need to have;

  • You will have a Level 3 Engineering qualification in either an Electrical Engineering subject
  • Good oral and written communication skills
  • Strong maintenance background to include fault finding and diagnostics
  • It would be highly desirable to have experience working in a rail environment, preferably with electric or diesel traction however similar industry experience will be considered
  • You will be able to analyse and interpret data
