A global pharmaceutical company is currently looking for a Senior Statistical Programmer to join their team on a 12-month temporary contract.

As a Senior Statistical Programmer, you will work on real world data to deliver high quality analyses that support evidence-based decisions in drug development and patient care.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and validate complex analysis datasets from large and diverse data sources
  • Perform statistical analyses and create reports for observational studies using Databricks and SAS
  • Interpret and implement analysis plans in close collaboration with epidemiologists
  • Ensure programming accuracy and compliance by reviewing peer code and outputs
  • Identify and resolve data issues, ensuring robust, high quality results


Requirements

  • Strong experience in statistical or observational research programming
  • Strong SAS and SQL programming skills (knowledge of R or Python is also welcomed)
  • Understanding of statistical and epidemiological methods is desirable
  • Experience handling observational or biomedical research data; knowledge of EHR databases such as CPRD or OMOP Common Data Model is advantageous
  • Excellent attention to detail, communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively in a team
