Join Our Team as a Team Leader in a Residential Children's Home
We are recruiting for dedicated and enthusiastic Team Leaders to join our dynamic team in a residential children's home. This is an exciting opportunity to lead a team of skilled care professionals while ensuring the health, safety, and welfare of young people aged 8 to 18 with a range of complex needs, including Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD).

You will play a key role in guiding a team dedicated to delivering outstanding care and educational support, all while working within a supportive, collaborative, and rewarding setting.
The Role:
As a Team Leader, you will be responsible for:
Leading and managing a team of care staff to create a stable, safe, and nurturing environment for young people.
Ensuring high-quality care delivery and the successful implementation of individual care plans.
Providing physical and emotional support to young people, helping them to thrive in both their residential and educational experiences.
Motivating, coaching, and developing your team, ensuring their ongoing training and performance improvements.
Ensuring compliance with The Children's Home Regulations 2015 and Quality Standards, and driving continuous improvements in practice.
This role is a unique opportunity for someone who is passionate about child development, person-centred care, and leadership in a residential setting.
Key Responsibilities:
Supervise and mentor a dedicated team of care staff, ensuring high standards of care and support.
Manage the day-to-day operations of the residential home, ensuring the safety and wellbeing of all young people.
Plan, organise, and deliver activities that are tailored to the needs and abilities of young people, encouraging positive outcomes.
Provide regular feedback to staff through supervision, appraisals, and performance management.
Work closely with the wider multi-disciplinary team, including education, clinical, and therapeutic professionals.
What We Are Looking For:
Minimum of a Level 3 RQF Child and Young Person's Workforce qualification (Essential).
Proven experience in leading and managing a team in a care or educational setting.
Experience working with young people with learning disabilities or special educational needs.
Knowledge of regulatory standards, legislation, and best practices in residential care.
Strong communication skills and the ability to build positive relationships with young people and their families.
A commitment to continuous professional development and a passion for making a difference.
