Design Engineer

Professional Technical is hiring a Design Engineer for a leading automotive manufacturer in the East Midlands. We're looking for individuals with a strong passion for cars or motorcycles and a proven background in the automotive industry. In this role, you'll be responsible for designing and developing vehicle components while meeting time, cost, quality, and specification goals.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop vehicle components, including chassis and powertrain systems.

• Work closely with Specialists and Chief Engineers to meet technical requirements.

• Deliver projects within set timeframes and budget constraints.

• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to improve efficiency.

• Support project planning and help manage risks and issues.

• Contribute to additional tasks and projects as needed.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.

• Proficient in CREO and surface modeling.

• Experience in automotive or motorcycle component design.

• Strong technical skills and attention to detail.

• Good communication and teamwork abilities.

• Comfortable working to tight deadlines and performance targets.
