We are currently seeking a Production Operative for a full-time, fixed-term contract role based fully onsite in Loughborough.


Location: Loughborough (Onsite)

Contract Type: Full-time , contract duration until 31/12/2025

Pay Rate: 12.65 per hour (Salary equivalent approx. 24,996 )

Hours: 37.5 hours per week Shift Pattern: Monday - Friday, 8:00 - 16:00 , with a 30-minute unpaid break.

Overtime: Available

Start Date: ASAP


Role Summary The main function of this role is to inspect, assemble, and package laboratory consumables according to defined specifications and quality standards. This position is vital in supporting research, diagnostic, and clinical environments.


Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and operate packaging and labelling equipment.

  • Print labels using approved label software.

  • Complete required paperwork related to packaging and labelling, such as Batch Record Sheets, Engineering Change Notices, and deviations.

  • Develop and understand the material process flow, including raw materials, staging, work in process, and storage areas.

  • Assist in Quality Control and Peer Review, performing in-process and finished goods inspections.

  • Perform calibration and preventative maintenance of labelling equipment.

  • Input downtime data and process batch records.

  • Process label work orders for manufacturing departments and other documents requiring printing.

  • Promote a constructive working environment by building positive relationships with co-workers.

  • Cross-train and provide support to other departments as needed.

  • Perform any other duties as reasonably required.


Qualifications and Experience

  • Education: Must have a High School Diploma, Secondary Education, Advanced Certificate, or equivalent.

  • Required Experience: A minimum of 1 year of work experience in a manufacturing, operations, production, lab setting, or a related field.

  • Preferred Experience: Experience working in a cGMP environment is preferred.


Skills and Abilities

  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be IT literate, specifically with Microsoft Office.

  • Ability to learn, understand, and carry out instructions.

  • Ability to multi-task and prioritise work effectively
