The Role
Key purpose of the role is to carry out fire door inspections within council properties, undertake minor repairs, and report on compliance to ensure fire safety regulations are met.
Key responsibilities will include but not be limited to:
- Carrying out fire door inspections of council properties in line with fire safety regulations.
- Recording inspection findings and remedial works using the appropriate monitoring systems.
- Undertaking minor fire door repairs or reporting further required works.
- Liaising with residents and colleagues to arrange inspections and resolve any issues.
- Preparing monthly compliance reports and supporting the Compliance team with core duties.
The Candidate
To be considered for this role you will require:
- A sound working knowledge of fire door compliance and building construction.
- The ability to undertake fire door repairs to ensure compliance.
- A good understanding of health and safety legislation in the building industry.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise with residents and colleagues.
- Good time management and workload organisation.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
The client is looking to move quickly with this role and as such are offering 23 per hour Umbrella LTD Inside IR35 (approx. 19 per hour PAYE).
