  • Strong communication and time management skills, along with the ability to work under their own initiative, are essential for this position.

We are looking for experienced CNC Programmer Setter with programming 3 and /or 5-axis machinery to machine large, fabricated parts.You will be familiar with one or more of the following controls systems; Mazatrol, Siemens, Heidenheim or Fanuc.

You will need to:

  • Programming and editing CNC machines
  • Use measuring equipment such as micrometres, plug gauges, verniers, screw plugs and ring gauges
  • Operating CNC lathes to produce high-precision components
  • Using manual lathes and mills where required – a mix of traditional and modern methods
  • Working from engineering drawings to tight tolerances
  • Carrying out quality checks and ensuring parts meet required specifications
  • Contributing to a clean, efficient, and safety-conscious workshop environment

The ideal candidate:

  • Can Program, Set and Operate
  • Has the ability to write and edit programs
  • Can work towards tight tolerances
  • Be fully conversant with reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Be competent in producing high quality components.
  • Be able to use engineering measuring equipment such as micrometres, verniers etc
  • Have strong communication and time management skills
  • Be able to work under own initiative
  • Be a team player
